COLOMBO (News 1st): Phase One of the first term of government and government-approved private Sinhala and Tamil schools concludes today (14). The second phase of the first term is set to commence on April 1st.
At the same time the GCE O/L examinations will begin on March 17th and continue until March 26th.
Candidates who have not yet received their National Identity Card (NIC) verification letters are advised that the Department for Registration of Persons will be open tomorrow exclusively for issuing these letters.
The Department has announced that its main office in Battaramulla, along with provincial offices in Galle, Kurunegala, Vavuniya, Batticaloa, and Nuwara Eliya, will be open from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM for this purpose.
Candidates can also download the verification letters from the official website, www.drp.gov.lk.
Candidates who have not yet submitted their NIC applications are required to bring properly completed applications certified by their school principal or Grama Niladhari.
